Grains Innovation Lab University of Saskatchewan

The addition to the Grains Innovation building at the University of Saskatchewan Crop Science Field Laboratory involved the demolition of the existing buildings on site with minor renovations to the crop science field lab. The grains innovation laboratory addition was comprised of:

• Soils equipment storage area

• Thrashing room

• Soils seed storage area

• Soils workshop

• Seed drying facility

• Milling room

• Grinding room

• Malting laboratory

• Micromalter laboratory

• Baking laboratory

• Wet chemistry laboratory

• Leco/balance room

• Chemical storage room

• Balance room

• Ancillary office, display, washroom, and computer areas

• Mechanical and Electrical systems to accommodate the specific and varied needs of this facility including dust collection, seed drying, maintenance shop, laboratory, and office requirements.
